Lost Souls
Comida and Art are always a good combo. And if your soul is tired and weary from it's constant search for its niche in life or the ever elusive "purpose", then consider the LOST SOULS CAFE an oasis to put you at ease for a while.
Here is its mission statement:
"Lost Souls Café’s mission is to be the universal destination point, meeting spot, and pit stop for all searching souls moving through life’s journeys. The café will continuously recreate itself to provide the right combination of elements (food, beverage, audio/visual art & entertainment) to re-energize the mind, body, and soul. Lost Souls Café is a place to meet, find, energize, unwind, take a break, unplug, and regroup from the search and journey."
Some pretty cool things have been happening here. An emphasis being placed on visual art, a few weeks back there was an event involving digital graffiti. I was amazed by the scene: with the use of a projector (which can be used to project images on anything from a wall, to the side of a 15 story building), a lap top, and a tricked out spraypaint can, the artist has the ability to spray paint anything he/she wants and it is projected onto whatever the projector is pointing at. Electronic Neon graffiti art lined the walls. For info or to join there mailing list check them out at:
